How 10 most visited websites looked when they launched

There have been great developments  in the field of webdesign and development, and the introduction of easy to use technologies like javascript, css and so on as made this possible. Today i have collected 10 most visited websites how they looked in the year of their inception and how they look now, these sites range from google, youtube down to the giant e-commerce site amazon. I decide to bring this to you just to encourage and inspire you cause I believe you can do better, all you have to do is to start now.

1. Google.com

Google is the most visited search engine in the world and it is worth around US$131.133 billion with over 52 thousand employees. The site  was launched in 1989, and since its inception a lot of development strategies were taken into consideration to make it what it is now.

2. Facebook.com

This online social networking service as launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg with his Harvard College roommates and fellow students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. Facebook is now considered has the most visited website in the world. The site was called thefacebook.com when it was first launched and it has a very unique design.

3. Youtube.com

Youtube is a video sharing site started by three paypal guys in 2005, a year later  it was bought by google for US$1.65 billion. The website featured a very simple yet dynamic interface which made the site easy to use.

4. Twitter.com

Launched in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass. Twitter gain popularity with its unique ability to allow user send only 140 characters message called tweet.

6. Yahoo.com

In its debut, the site was just full of links on the homepage a and a small search box. Yahoo was launched on march 1995 by David Filo and Jerry Yang.

No Teen will ever believe this is how the largest online retail store in the US looked when it was first launched. I am very sure a dude with little html skills should be able to design something better than this.

MySpace is a social networking website created in 2003 offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music, and videos.

The paper’s print version has the largest audience in the US and it was launched in 1851 whereas the web version was founded in 1996.

10. whitehouse.gov

Of all the websites listed above this is the most difficult to believe. Can’t  just believe my eyes when i saw what the official website of the unted state government looked like when it was established in 1994.
